OUR TRIP TO FLORIDA

I had the most wonderful 7 weeks of vacation while in Florida. The weather was perfect up until 10 days before I came back when it dropped to 20 degrees at night and in the 50's during the day. I still managed to spend Christmas Day at the beach where the waves were awesome... lots of surfers out.... and enjoyed a beer that we had bought from the corner store.

Of course I found a Dog Show, but just wish I had known about it sooner. I'm sure many of you have heard of the Brooksville Cluster, held in mid January. It is huge, 2300 dogs and 10 shows over 2 weeks!!! We had majors every day for Sheltie Bitches (33), and most days for the Males. Of course I was in shop heaven with all the vendors and nearly needed a second van to get everything back home...:) Here are just a few of my pictures..... Enjoy...

Beautiful Melbourne Beach - Christmas Day Bar

The clubhouse and pool - very pretty Egrets

Home Sweet Home

The dogs loved the courtyard

Diamond, Lucy and Sugar,
taking a 5 minute break from playing

It was nice to be able to see them all the time
through one of the patio doors

The setup worked really well, as they had their
own patio door that was always open for them
to could come and go as they pleased.

This is Gypsy, Paray's Mandarin Kiss at Getty Park
where we went to see the Manatee

These were taken in December when Gypsy was 4 months old.
Nominated for the Futurity by her breeder, Tray Pittman
of Paray Shelties, she is now in California waiting for
the ASSA Nationals.

Beautiful Lucy, BPIS MBPIG Fairfax Lucinda,
at Dee's place in Palm Beach

BPIS MBPIG Ch. Dalgarnaoch Centre Stage
My Man Flynn was so happy in Florida
and is talking to me here... too funny.

I just love this picture of him.. au natural...

Opal - Dalgarnoch Opal Essence.
Opal and Star in the next picture are daughters of Flynn.

Star - Dalgarnoch Black Pearl.
Star lives in Florida now with her new owner Lisa Van Vleet.

BROOKSVILLE DOG SHOW

Connie Du Bois was so good with Lucy, and it was
fun making new friends at the show. This was a fellow
from Japan who was visiting Connie. She is the breeder/owner
of the number 1 Collie in the USA, a gorgeous blue girl who's
head and eye make you want to weep, they are so perfect.

All groomed up and ready for the ring.
Connie was very impressed with Lucy and said that
had she been entered in more shows, she would have finished easily....!!

Just had to take another picture... :)

It was so windy that day it is a wonder any
of the dogs showed at all. I was very proud of my girl.

Florida is truly a beautiful place to be,
but you still have to be aware of the dangers.

New Years Eve Dec 2009 - 2010
